How It Works

Acyclovir is an antiviral medication that inhibits the replication of Herpes Simplex Virus (HSV) and Varicella Zoster Virus (VZV). After entering infected cells, it is converted into its active form, which blocks viral DNA synthesis without significantly affecting healthy human cells.


Dosage & Administration

Unless otherwise directed by your physician:

  • Apply a 10 mm ribbon of ointment inside the lower conjunctival sac.
  • Use 5 times daily at approximately 4-hour intervals.
  • Continue treatment for at least 3 days after complete healing.
